Library Holiday Closures
For Christmas, the Library will close EARLY on Tuesday 12/24 at 4 p.m. We'll remain closed on Wednesday 12/25 and Thursday 12/26. The library will re-open for regular hours on Friday 12/27.
For New Years, the Library will close EARLY on Tuesday 12/31 at 4 p.m. We'll remain closed on Wednesday 1/1/2014, and will re-open for regular hours on Thursday 1/2/2014.
Please remember that you can access your account online 24/7 by logging into the library catalog using your library card number and the phone number associated with your account.
The CD/DVD drop and book drop are always available when we are closed.

Congratulations Ann Hoey!
BFL Trustee receives Elizabeth Yates Award
Baker Free Library trustee Ann Hoey received the 2013 Elizabeth Yates Award from the Concord Public Library Foundation at a reception on Sunday 11/17/2013. The Yates Award recognizes individuals in the greater Concord area who are actively engaged in inspiring young people to read. Ann is the Children's Services Librarian for the New Hampshire State Library, and travels across New Hampshire to help public and school librarians with many aspects of librarianship, including literacy and collection development. Previous winners of this honor include our children's librarian, Jennifer Ericsson, in 1999.

Annual Hat & Mitten Drive
10/1 through 12/8
The Happy Hookers knit group is collecting hand-knit hats, mittens, and scarves to be donated to Bow Human Services and Bow children in need. Donations may be dropped off at the library during regular hours, or at the weekly Happy Hookers meeting on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the White Rock Senior Living main building, Bow Center Road. Library Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting
Next meeting on 12/11
The Baker Free Library Board of Trustees meets the second Wednesday every month except July or when scheduling conflicts arise.
The next regular monthly meeting will be held Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the library's Meeting Room. A Joint fundraising meeting with the Trustees, Lower Level Renovation Committee, and Friends of the Baker Free Library will occur after that meeting, at 7 p.m., in the library's Meeting Room.
