Museum Passes

The Friends of the Baker Free Library is pleased to offer museum passes to nine institutions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
 
There is no fee to borrow the passes, but the borrower must have a current Baker Free Library card in good standing and be at least 18 years of age. One pass is allowed per family per day.  We are allowed to distribute only one pass per institution per day except for the Currier Museum of Art, which allows us to distribute two passes per day.  Details about each institution's passes are listed below.  To request a pass, call 224-7113 or e-mail your request.
 
New England Aquarium (Boston, MA)
Pass allows reduced admission of $10 each for up to four people. One pass per day is available September 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. Passes are NOT available in July & August due to New England Aquarium policies. Passes may not be used in conjunction with school group visits scheduled with the Group Sales Office, and may not be applied toward Aquarium boat programs or IMAX shows. McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (Concord, NH)
Pass allows free admission to the exhibit halls for four people (a maximum $36 value).  Planetarium show admission for those four people can be purchased for an additional cost. The Planetarium requires reservations because seating is limited. You will be asked to place additional charges on a credit card at the time of reservation. These charges are not refundable. The Planetarium requests that you arrive one half-hour before the show to pick up reserved tickets.
 
The pass is not valid for any special events, programs, or workshops, and may not be combined with any other discount. The Center's hours for the school year are Friday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Center will be open seven days per week during school vacation weeks (please visit the Center's web site for specific dates).  The Center will be open seven days per week during the summer from June 16 through the day before Labor Day. Closed major holidays (but open on Veteran's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, and Columbus Day).

One pass per library card holder per day.  We will not allow one cardholder to take two passes for the Center for the same day.

Currier Museum of Art (Manchester, NH)
Pass admits two adults to the museum free of charge. Children 17 years old and younger are always admitted free. Pass is not valid for member events, admission to the Zimmerman House, special ticked events, or for a member discount in the museum shop. Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA)
Pass entitles two people to $10 MFA general admission. Children age 6 and under are admitted free at all times. Persons age 7 to 17 are admitted for $7.50 on school days until 3 p.m. At all other times, persons 7 to 17 are admitted free.  For more information call (617) 267-9300 or visit www.mfa.org.
 
Museum of Science (Boston, MA)
Pass admits four people to the exhibit halls for $10 per person. Children under 3 years old are always admitted free. Pass is not valid for admission to the Omni, Planetarium/Laser, 3D Digital Cinema, Butterfly Garden, or special exhibits. For more information call (617) 723-2500 or visit www.mos.org.
 
Seacoast Science Center (Rye, NH)
Pass admits two adults and up to four children or grandchildren for 50% off.  Additional fees to Odiorne State Park may apply.  Two passes may be given out each day. SEE Science Center (Manchester, NH)
Pass admits one family to the museum free of charge. SEE is open to the public seven days a week. SEE is geared for visitors ages 3 through adult. Squam Lakes Natural Science Center (Holderness, NH)
