Museum Passes and Discounts
Baker Free Library is pleased to offer museum passes to the following institutions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
There is no fee to borrow a pass, but the borrower must have a current Baker Free Library card in good standing and be at least 18 years of age. One pass is allowed per family per day. We are allowed to distribute only one pass per institution per day except for the Currier Museum of Art, which allows us to distribute two passes per day. Details about each institution’s passes are listed below.
New Hampshire
Children’s Museum of NH (Dover)
Pass admits four people for 50% off the admission. Closed for some holidays.
Currier Museum of Art (Manchester, NH)
Pass admits two adults to the museum at 50% off admission fee. Children 17 years old and younger are always admitted free. Pass is not valid for member events, admission to the Zimmerman House and Kalil House, special ticketed events, or for a member discount in the museum shop.
Historic New England
Explore our region’s past through historic homes, landscapes, artifacts, stories, and more. Tour more than three dozen historic sites and discover the stories of the people who shaped New England. The library pass offers Free Admission for two adults and their children under 18yr. to all Historic New England sites.
McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center
Located in Concord, NH, the Discovery Center provides an unforgettable experience to learners of all ages and backgrounds. Library passes include free admission to the exhibit halls for four people on the date listed on the pass. Open 10:30am-4pm Wednesday-Sunday and during school vacation weeks.
Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum
A respect for the earth and all living things is central to the Native American way of life and this is reflected throughout Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum. Situated on 12.5-acres, MKIM is just 1 mile up Kearsarge Mountain Road in Warner, NH. Library passes include free admission for two people.
New Hampshire State Parks
Each pass is valid for the date listed on the pass. The pass grants admission for two adults and four children to any day-use park at no additional charge. Not valid at the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, the Flume Gorge, Hampton Beach State Park, -South Beach, Wallis Sands State Park, or metered parking. The pass may not be used for camping fees.
Seacoast Science Center (Rye, NH)
Pass admits two adults and up to four children or grandchildren for 50% off. Additional fees to Odiorne State Park may apply. Two passes may be given out each day. Pass allows visitors to visit 7 days a week, 10 a.m. – 5 p. m.
*We recommend reserving the New Hampshire State Park pass in conjunction with the Seacoast Science Center pass for free onsite parking.
SEE Science Center (Manchester, NH)
Pass admits eight people to the museum at 50% off admission price. SEE is open to the public seven days a week. SEE is geared for visitors ages 3 through adult. At SEE, visitors discover the fun and enjoyment of science with nearly 100 hands-on exhibits.
Squam Lakes Natural Science Center (Holderness, NH)
Season runs May 1 to November 1. Pass will be available again in May 2025.
Massachusetts
Museum of Science (Boston, MA)
Pass admits four people to the exhibit halls for 50% off Exhibit Halls admission. Children under 3 years old are always admitted free. Pass is not valid for admission to the Omni, Planetarium/Laser, 3D Digital Cinema, Butterfly Garden, or special exhibits.
Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA)
Pass entitles two people to $10 MFA general admission. Children age 6 and under are admitted free at all times. Persons age 7 to 17 are admitted for $7.50 on school days until 3 p.m. At all other times, persons 7 to 17 are admitted free.
