Public Computers
The Library has four computers dedicated to word processing and Internet access. To access our Internet computers, all patrons must have a valid Baker Free Library Card, and must read and sign the Library’s Internet Access policy. Children under the age of 10 must have a parent sign a permission form for Internet access, and a parent must be present during the child’s time on the computer. Children between the ages of 11 and 18 must have an Internet permission form signed by a parent on file with the Library before Internet access will be allowed. All Internet users are required to sign up at the Circulation Desk for a computer before use. If the Internet computers are occupied, use is restricted to 60 minutes. Print, Copy, Fax, Scan
For black and white photocopies, the charge is 10 cents per page. To print using the public Internet computers, the charge is 10 cents per page for black/white, $1 per page for color. Please note that default printer is the black/white printer. To receive or send a fax, the fee is $2 for the first page, with additional pages at $1 each. The library will provide you with a confirmation receipt for all faxes sent. The photocopier also serves as a scanner, which can be used without charge.
WiFi Access
The Library offers wireless Internet access for laptops and handheld devices that contain a wireless network interface card. If you decide to use this wireless network, you are accepting the Library’s Internet Policy. Please visit the Library Policies Page to download and read the Library’s Internet Policy in pdf format. The wireless Internet access offered is unfiltered and not secure. Information sent to and from your device using the wireless network may be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and appropriate software. The wireless network is available throughout most of the first floor of the Library, although dead spots do occur. There are no printing services available through our wireless network.
