Bow Dunbarton Reads

March 9 - April 21, 2021

Join the Bow and Dunbarton schools in a diverse reading challenge!  Between March 9 and April 21, participate in this program by picking up books by and about diverse people and communities. Each school in the district has a unique version of this program to try. For high school students, the challenge is to read at least 3 titles in the following categories:

  • A book by a black author
  • A book about the LGBTQ+ community
  • A book by an Asian or Asian-American author
  • A book about women's rights, or that features a powerful female protagonist
  • A book where prejudice against any minority or under-represented group is an issue

To participate, grab a Bow Dunbarton Reads bookmark from the school library, and return it with a list of your completed books listed by April 21. All participates who return a completed bookmark will be entered into a prize drawing. And don't forget to tell us -- and the community -- about the books you're reading using the hashtag #bowdunbartonreads.

For more information, please contact the Bow High School Library. If you need help finding the right book, we're happy to help! Call the library at 224-7113, or email info@bakerfreelib.org for reading recommendations for any prompt.
